Governor Brown Vetoes “Greece on the Pacific” Budget

Governor Jerry Brown just vetoed California’s budget, which was put together in haste last night so legislators would still receive their pay.  A ballot measure passed by voters last year meant that if lawmakers didn’t meet Wednesday’s deadline, their salaries would be suspended until a budget was passed.

This was only the second time in 25 years that California legislators met the legal deadline for passing a budget.   Private incentives work in the public sector?   You’re kidding!   The  budget also included a controversial  online sales tax.  Are you listening Jeff Bezos?
